"For sure, they are from the North of Portugal" continues to gain momentum in the race for the World Tourism Film Awards.

"For sure, they are from the North of Portugal", the latest campaign by Porto and the North of Portugal Tourism Board, won third place in the "Tourism Destination" category at the Silkfest International Tour & Eco Film Festival, held annually in Belgrade, Serbia.

The film, which can be viewed here, is part of a campaign launched in the first quarter of the year, alongside the new branding for Porto and the North of Portugal Tourism Board. The campaign is centered around the origins and uniqueness of Porto, Minho, Douro, and Trás-os-Montes, each distinct in their own right, offering a wide range of diverse experiences.

"With this promotional film, we aim to convey just how much there is to see in Porto and the North of Portugal. From unparalleled landscapes to unique gastronomy, and an abundance of cultural wealth—all rooted in the authenticity and generosity of our people, which are key to distinguishing the North as a memorable destination," says Luís Pedro Martins, president of Porto and the North of Portugal Tourism Board. He also highlights that several promotional films for the destination launched in recent years have garnered prestigious international awards.

"For sure, they are from the North of Portugal" had already won an award in New York and continues to accumulate points for the CIFFT Ranking, which lists the most awarded tourism videos and campaigns of the year. The ranking is responsible for crowning the World’s Best Tourism Films, an accolade that Porto and the North of Portugal Tourism Board has already achieved in the past.

The winners of the Silkfest International Tour & Eco Film Festival are of particular importance because, as the name suggests, it is a festival with a strong ecological focus. This is a theme that Porto and the North of Portugal Tourism Board has enthusiastically embraced, with an ambitious project underway to certify the region as a sustainable destination. This year, the festival received entries from more than 30 countries, which were evaluated by an international panel of industry experts.
